Meet Sarvarinder Singh Dohil

For more than 25 years, London has been my home. Throughout my career, I have proudly served our community—first with London Transit and now as a licensed Real Estate Professional.

For the past three years, I have served on the Thames Valley District School Board Advisory Committee, working alongside educators, parents, students, and community members to help strengthen our schools and support student success.

My commitment to education extends beyond the advisory committee. I have actively worked with diversity and community organizations, connecting with families from a wide range of backgrounds to better understand their experiences and the needs of their children. These conversations have deepened my understanding of the challenges students face and reinforced the importance of creating schools where every child feels safe, respected, included, and supported.

As both a parent and community leader, I believe every student deserves access to a high-quality education, strong support systems, and opportunities to reach their full potential. I am committed to listening to families, collaborating with educators, and ensuring every voice is heard as we build stronger schools for all.

Why I'm Running

Because every child deserves someone in their corner.

I’ve sat with parents who want their voices heard, listened to teachers working tirelessly to support every student, and met students facing challenges that extend far beyond the classroom.

These conversations have shaped my belief that the distance between our community and the board table, where important decisions about our schools are made, should be as short as possible.

That’s why I’m running for School Board Trustee. I believe leadership means more than showing up during an election. It means listening, being accessible, and remaining accountable throughout the entire term.

I’m committed to working alongside parents, educators, and students to strengthen public education and ensure every voice is heard.

My Priorities

Six commitments. One standard.

Every position, every vote, every conversation measured against a single question — does this make things better for students?

Students First
Every board decision starts and ends with one measure — the impact on the child in the classroom.
Academic Excellence
High expectations paired with real support — strong fundamentals, modern skills, and pathways for every learner.
Mental Health
More counsellors, earlier intervention, and a culture where asking for help is a sign of strength.
Safe Schools
Safe buildings, safe routes, and zero tolerance for bullying — because learning requires feeling secure.
Parent Engagement
Open doors, plain language, and real consultation — before decisions are made, not after.
Community Partnerships
Schools that work hand-in-hand with local organizations, cultures, and families across Thames Valley.
Community Leadership

Service isn't a slogan.
It's a track record.

My Promise

What you can hold me to.

Not campaign talk — commitments. If elected, these are the standards I ask you to measure me against, every single term.

Accountability, in writing.
Every promise on this page stays on this page — before the election and after it.
— Sarvarinder Singh Dohil

I will listen before I vote.

Every major decision preceded by real conversations with parents, teachers, and students.

I will be visible and reachable.

At school events, in the community, and on the other end of your call or email.

I will put students above politics.

No party lines, no personal agendas — just what's best for kids in classrooms.

I will explain every vote.

Clear, honest reasons for every position I take — in plain language, on the record.

I will champion every family.

Every culture, every background, every neighbourhood in Thames Valley — represented and respected.

The Vision

Schools where every child walks in curious and walks out confident.

A Thames Valley where classrooms reflect the community they serve, teachers are supported like the professionals they are, and no family ever feels like an outsider at their own school.

"Strong schools begin with listening, collaboration, and putting students first."
